What would cause you to stop sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone who was listening closely to the words of eternal life? The sound of thunder in the distance caused someone to stop sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ for fear of getting wet on his motorcycle as he returned home. When he heard the thunder, he stopped sharing the Gospel and left for home. He also left a sinner hanging in the balance for all eternity.
Jesus illustrated the truth that we never have tomorrow guaranteed to us. Jesus said we are foolish to think that God abides by our plans. Absolutely not. We live on God’s timetable. We may die suddenly and without warning. When we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, never let an opportunity slip by to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with an unbeliever. Also, be very sure that you do not let something stop you in the middle of your proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The wrath of God abides upon every unbeliever until the moment of salvation. If you do not finish presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that person has not received the free gift of salvation, then the wrath of God abides upon them for all eternity. They will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire, with weeping and gnashing of teeth, with great torment. Therefore, remember and believe the Scriptures about the wrath of God and the Lake of Fire. Today is the day of salvation. We do not know what tomorrow will bring. We do not know if the person listening to the Gospel of Jesus Christ with will be alive tomorrow. Salvation comes by hearing the word of Christ. As people hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they may choose to believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and receive the free gift of salvation. God the Father works in the hearts of people to reveal Jesus to them. We never know if the person hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with will receive salvation by grace through faith or not. We must be careful to share the entire Gospel with them and let nothing interrupt us. A thunderstorm should not stop us from sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with someone who shows interest. We may never have another opportunity.
So, in closing, be sure that you finish sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and offering the prayer of salvation. Distractions will often come your way as you share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but do not be deflected from the glorious task of leading someone to Jesus.
